Who can we help
Yorks-Lincs 4x4 Response do not respond to calls from the public. We are here to assist organisations such as Police, Ambulance, Local Authorities, other Category 1 and 2 responders and Charities. The group has Public Liability Insurance in place to cover us while carrying out response work.
Yorks-Lincs 4x4 Response covers the geographical area shown to the right. This consists of East Riding of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
Where possible we prefer to get agreements in place with users, so that we can both react quickly in times of need. The reason for this is that there are usually a number of bits of paper that need to be exchanged, confirming insurance, contact numbers etc.
We are more than happy to talk to organisations whith whom we have no formal agreement. Our ability to respond may depend on your internal paperwork requirements.
Unfortunately we are unable to assist private companies directly.

If the telephone networks are down, e-mail sometimes works. If at all possible, we will be watching our email during a major incident.
